Rochester man sues Boy Scouts of America for alleged abuse by scoutmaster

The statement notes that the Boy Scouts now requires background checks for Scout leaders and its current policy is to report suspected abuse directly to police.

CAMP STRAKE, owned by the Houston arm of the Boy Scouts of America since the 1940s, is now under contract to Johnson Development, responsible for communities like Sienna Plantation in Missouri City and Imperial Sugar Land, to name just a couple. Nevertheless, Johnson Development declined to reveal any plans for the 2,083-acre lake-dotted property along the San Jacinto River and not quite 10 miles north of the new ExxonMobil headquarters. For what it’s worth, Jones Lang LaSalle did market the property to buyers as a master-planned community called Grand Lake Park, a plan for which you can see after the jump

Now who got the money???

Some San Francisco landlords offering tenants big bucks to move outSome landlords, eager to get long-term tenants out so they can raise the rent on a new tenant, are offering residents tens of thousands of dollars to hit the bricks, the San Francisco Chronicle reports. While the practice isn't new, it is seeing a renaissance in light of the recent influx of tech workers willing and able to pay more rent. This is a controversial topic in San Francisco, where the city has become divided over whether the resurgence of tech workers is hurting the city's culture.

One woman in a HUD project in Texas ;

Offered 2500.00 for waiting to renovate apt. Close a case file on a old man killing him and robbed the tenant of her domicile thirteen years later, then killed the old mans best friend as they kicked out the woman by placing her in jail by plagerism.

The woman is disabled .

Real nice people rhetorically speaking .

Man done nothing to be killed for,

Perhaps they know nothing of what consequences and actions they say .

God damn you !!!

When eclipsed by the Earth's dark shadow, the moon glows with the combined light of every sunrise and sunset on Earth at that moment, projected onto the moon. This photo captured the total lunar eclipse of Dec. 21, 2010, the last one seen from Colorado. Next Monday night, the first of four consecutive total lunar eclipses will occur over Colorado. LONDON (AP) - Two new studies describe the latest achievements in growing body parts in a lab and transplanting them into people, this time with nostrils and vaginas.

Windpipes, bladders, blood vessels and other structures have previously been created in part from a patient's own cells and then implanted. Eventually, scientists hope to tackle more complicated things like lungs and kidneys with this strategy, which is aimed at avoiding rejection of transplanted organs.

The latest experiments were published online Friday in the journal Lancet.

Intraocular lens

An intraocular lens (IOL) is a lens implanted in the eye used to treat cataracts or myopia. The most common type of IOL is the pseudophakic IOL. These are implanted during cataract surgery, after the cloudycrystalline lens (otherwise known as a cataract) has been removed. The pseudophakic IOL replaces the original crystalline lens, and provides the light focusing function originally undertaken by the crystalline lens. The second type of IOL, more commonly known as a phakic intraocular lens (PIOL), is a lens which is placed over the existing natural lens, and is used in refractive surgery to change the eye's optical power as a treatment for myopia or nearsightedness.[1]IOLs usually consist of a small plastic lens with plastic side struts, called haptics, to hold the lens in place within the capsular bag inside the eye.[2] IOLs were traditionally made of an inflexible material (PMMA), although this has largely been superseded by the use of flexible materials. Most IOLs fitted today are fixed monofocal lenses matched to distance vision. However, other types are available, such as multifocal IOLs which provide the patient with multiple-focused vision at far and reading distance, and adaptive IOLs which provide the patient with limited visual accommodation.
