First and foremost, even though slavery was abolished the Cherokee nation is not will not and can not be abolished by the " Freedmens" otherwise know as half breeds, and black mixed .if it jeopardizes the existing order of things and become something that the nation is not, the the nation would resolve itself and be no more. All "Freedmens must be treated as "hostile witnesses." A house divided will not stand. And for this reasons Freedmens should not be allowed such privy of rites. Cherokee is a peaceful people and must protect that at all cost, as well the treaty in which it was amended to.
This is a Cherokee woman, and algonaquin descendent.I have cast my vote.
